Hydra Catalyst

Hydra Catalyst

Low stock: 1 left

From our mid-twenties, skin starts producing less of its own hyaluronic acid, the molecule responsible for how well it holds moisture. Hydra Catalyst is built to support that shift, formulated around two actives that work differently but in conjunction with one another. Hyaluronic Acid draws moisture into the skin, and Polyglutamic Acid holds it there. The result is skin that looks plumper, feels softer, and stays hydrated through the day, not just for the first hour after applying.

Who This Is For

Formulated for all skin types (including sensitive). And especially skin that feels tight or loses hydration through the day.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice Powder, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Carbomer, Polyglutamic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide

Ingredient Breakdown

Aqua (Water) The primary solvent in the formula, used to dissolve water-soluble ingredients and provide the base for the gel serum texture.

Glycerin A humectant that draws moisture into the outer layers of the skin, helping to keep the skin hydrated throughout the day.

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice Powder Derived from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant, this ingredient is known for its soothing and hydrating properties. It helps to calm and condition the skin while contributing additional moisture to the formula.

Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract A soothing, non-irritating plant extract known for its calming and emollient properties. It contains amino acids and organic acids that help maintain the skin's natural acid balance, as well as compounds with soothing properties.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) A naturally derived antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental stressors. It also conditions and nourishes the skin and helps to keep the formula stable over time.

Phenoxyethanol
A safe, gentle preservative that has been used in cosmetics since around 1950. It maintains the safety and stability of the formula and is approved for use up to 1% globally.

Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid)
The sodium salt form of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the skin with exceptional water-binding capacity. It helps the skin to retain moisture, contributing to a plump, well-hydrated complexion.

Carbomer
A polymer used to help thicken and stabilise the formula, contributing to its smooth gel texture.

Polyglutamic Acid
A fermentation-derived ingredient with exceptional moisture-binding capacity, capable of holding significantly more water than Hyaluronic Acid. It forms a light, hydrating film on the skin's surface that helps to lock in moisture and support a plump, smooth complexion.

Ethylhexylglycerin
A skin-conditioning agent that works alongside Phenoxyethanol to maintain the formula's preservation system, while also contributing a pleasant feel on the skin.

Sodium Hydroxide
A pH-adjusting ingredient used in small amounts to help set the formula's pH to the correct level.

How To Use

Apply 1 to 2 pumps to freshly cleansed, damp skin, pressing gently into the face and neck. Allow to absorb before following with a Catalyst serum or hydrator.

When using alongside active serums, apply Hydra Catalyst first to create a hydration buffer between the skin and the active ingredients.

Key Benefits

  • Delivers hydration that absorbs and lasts through the day
  • Supports the skin's own natural ability to retain moisture over time
  • Helps the skin stay hydrated and resilient when using active ingredients
  • Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, or those using retinoids or Vitamin C

How It Works

Hyaluronic Acid draws water into the skin and binds it there - a well-researched mechanism the skin relies on naturally, though less reliably as the years progress.

Polyglutamic Acid works at the surface to slow how quickly that moisture escapes, and research published in 2025 found it also supports the skin's own natural production of hyaluronic acid, meaning the benefit builds with consistent use rather than simply repeating with each application.

Applied before a Catalyst serum or any active ingredient, the formula creates a hydration buffer that helps the skin stay comfortable through stronger actives: retinoids in particular ask a lot of the skin's barrier, and well-hydrated skin handles that better.

Aloe Vera rounds out the formula, keeping the skin calm and less reactive throughout.

  • Hyaluronic Acid

Draws water into the skin and binds it there, replenishing what the skin produces less of from our mid-twenties onward.

  • Polyglutamic Acid

Works at the surface to slow moisture loss and, with consistent use, supports the skin's own natural hydration system.

  • Aloe Vera

A soothing botanical that keeps the skin calm and unreactive, particularly for those using active ingredients alongside the routine.
